All designs offer the choice of the finest Dual Motor and Single Motor mechanisms and eleven of these also offer a choice in size.

Choose the optional LUMBAR ADJUSTMENT to enable you to reach your most comfortable back position.

For added reassurance all Electric Care Recliners meet British Standard BS 8474 for safety, strength, stability and durability.

Optional Lumbar Support

Choose this additional feature to enhance your comfort even further.

Using two extra buttons on the handset, you can increase and reduce the level of lumbar (lower back) support to reach the most comfortable position for you.

This option is available at extra cost on all Sherborne Riser Recliners.

Quick-release handset

A quick-release handset is fitted as standard to prevent unauthorised use.

Spring-loaded footrest

All designs are fitted with a spring-loaded footrest to reduce the risk of accidental entrapment under the footrest.

Handset recessed button design

All buttons are recessed within the handset to reduce the possibility of inadvertent movement of the action by accidental pressure.

Single-use emergency back-up

This allows one emergency operation of the Chair, returning it to the sitting position (batteries must be replaced after use).

Multi-use battery back-up

For an additional cost this can be fitted to ensure continued use of the Recliner up to approximately 10-15 complete cycles of the action in the event of power failure. Highly recommended.

LED power indicator

The transformer displays a green LED power light to show that power is reaching the Recliner.

Backlit handset

All handset buttons light up when operated for ease of use even in the dark.

Removable clip

Each handset is fitted with a useful clip which can be removed if required.

Side pocket for right- or left-handed use

For your convenience we fit a generous side pocket on all Electric Care Recliners and this and the handset can also be specified for left-handed use if you so wish.

Removable backs

All 100 models are supplied with removable backs to make the task of delivering into your home so much easier.

Castors or Glides

All models are fitted with four castors for ease of movement – front castors then lift away to ensure stability in raised positions. Alternatively, four glides can now be fitted for use on solid flooring.

The Single Motor and Dual Motor actions both lift and tilt the Recliner forwards so that getting in and out is the easiest thing imaginable.

Using the five-button handset, the sophisticated Dual Motor mechanism enables you to control the backrest and footrest independently to reach the exact position you want including a near-horizontal full sleeping position (needs a 38cm (15″) gap from the wall).

Using the ‘intelligent’ fifth button you can then easily return both the backrest and the footrest to the sitting position.

The smooth and easy Single Motor action uses the three-button handset, which enables the footrest to be fully raised before the back starts reclining. It also allows the sleeping position to be reached (less reclined than on Dual Motor designs) from a starting position 20cm (8″) from the wall. The ‘intelligent’ third button then returns you to the sitting position.

Both handsets feature a useful clip and are backlit for use in the dark.
